Rise Up Singing is a Voice Camp based on Dartmoor, Devon dedicated to the joy of singing. Whether you think you have the voice of a frog with a sore throat or an angel in ecstasy, you are welcome. Singers of all abilities, from confident performers to tentative folk taking their first steps, come to Rise Up Singing.
There are several daily workshops ranging from community choir to small groups, from gospel to sacred chant, from Balkan to African, from folk to blues, from improvisation to songwriting, songs old and new from all over the world. Children are very welcome and have wonderful opportunities for creative play, music making and wildness.
Everyone shares in the day to day running of the camp encouraging a sense of belonging and ownership. You can be assured of a warm welcome and the experience of a true community of the heart.
