Rob Carney is a singer songwriter currently working to launch his first album. His music comes direct from the heart and if you see him heading to the fire circle with his guitar make sure you follow him!  Joanna Spence brings her love for Balkan and Eastern European polyphony as well as British folk. Her sessions invite a spirit of curiosity and play as we consciously explore resonance in the body and learn some gorgeous close-harmonied Balkan and Eastern European folk songs. She aims to support others to discover a form of vocal expression that’s rooted in the earth, full-bodied, relaxed and strong.
With a background in ethnomusicology, African music and British folk, Bella Lilley will bring the joys of collaborative vocal improvisation (CVI) to the camp.  She will support us to explore our embodied voices with a whole host of exciting tools and forms, ranging from dynamic and fun to deep release.
Emily Macklow joins us all the way from New Zealand. She has lead many singing groups over the years including Sing Sing Sing and the Maoau Crazy Choir. She has just moved to the UK and brings a wealth of experience, fun and passion for music. She will be joining Rise Up Singing on alternate years and is next with us in 2025.
Su Hart is a singer & choir leader who has taught and performed with Baka Beyond globally. She writes songs and collects and teaches songs from different cultures and traditions from around the world. She draws on her time with the Baka Hunter gatherers of the Cameroon rainforest.  Their singing, thought to be the first of all human singing, builds community, heals illness and argument, soothes babies and enchants the animals ensuring luck in the hunt. Su will be joining us on alternate years.

Graham Burgess is our jazz man and you will often hear his jazz guitar around the camp. He teaches barbershop “tags” and offers a couple of sessions on music theory. He is also our site manager and is responsible for the practical smooth running of the camp.

She has now taken on a new role as a voice coach, helping people better understand how the voice works and giving them the tools to develop their singing and speaking voice. Felicity is also an accomplished drummer and you will no doubt hear her beating out some great rhythms during the camp.
